Father's Day Weekend.

Hello Everyone,
Kyle's fathers day was a very full one but probably not what he would have liked to have done if he had a choice. We spent the morning at tryouts for Devin's soccer team. Kyle is the assistant coach for a U10 boys soccer team. Jessi had a softball game at 12:30 for her FAAA team, The Chargers. We lost 8 to 2. At 2:45 Devin played baseball for the another team because they were short players. They won 11 to something. Devin tells us he was walked a couple of times and also had a good hit. We didn't go to the game because Jessi had another softball game at 3:00 for her CYC Team. The whole team did great. Jessi played excellent defence and got several hits. They won by a lot but I am not sure of the score. Kyle did get to pick where we ate for dinner but we didn't have a lot of time because Devin had another baseball game at 8:00. But that was not the end of our day because early in the game, Devin took a ball to the nose. He was playing first base and when he was thrown the ball it tipped the top of his glove and hit his nose. Once the bleeding stopped it swelled pretty quickly and turned black and blue. We debated for a long time whether or not an emergency room visit was in our future. We kept ice on it which helped the swelling and Devin really didn't want to the hospital so we waited until this morning to make a trip to the doctor's. I didn't really think the doctor would do much if his nose was broken anyway. Much to my relief his nose is not broken. He is a really tough kid. He'll be black and blue for awhile but his modeling career remains in tact.
Kyle's father's day wasn't filled with relaxation and spoiling but it was a day of him doing the things that make him the wonderful father that he is, coaching his kids, cheering them on in their endeavors and holding them close when they need to be comforted. I love you Kyle and happy father's day!

I heard that some people (Ken Hand) were unable to post comments to my Blog. I think I fixed that now.

July Vacation

Our family vacation this year is taking us to Boston, New York, and Washington D.C. We plan on spending 5 or 6 days in Boston and then we'll drive to New York for a quick stop. From there we head to Washington, DC for 5 days. I would love to get some suggestions of things to see and do in any of these places.

First Post

My sister-in-law sent me the address to her blog this morning. She created her blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends. I also think it is a great idea!
