Jenny, asked Kenny about the hotel in Ft. Lee -- he agreed w/me -- questionable. I think we stayed at a Marriott Fairfield Inn in Nanuet, then drove into the city the next morning. It's probably 45 mins into the city.
PS: Used my sidestep search engine (linked on my blog) and looks like there is a Hilton Garden Inn and a Comfort Inn in Nanuet too that look good. I would recommend anything on the NY side in Rockland or Westchester counties (Nanuet, Tarrytown, White Plains, Dobbs Ferry areas). The NJ side is just questionable. Of course the farther away from the city, the less expensive; but you don't want to get too close to the city either (unless you're downtown & then it's expensive); what I mean is, do not get a hotel in Yonkers.
