More Track and Other Stuff

This is me "all nice and warm" before the track meet started. As the day wore on Devin and I piled on blankets and more layers. We still froze! No other pictures because it was to cold to move!

I thought track was suppose to be one of those sports where you sit in the sun all day long, complain about the heat and worry about getting a farmers tan! I am waiting for one of those meets! The weather at last Saturday's meet was horrible! It was grey and 39 degrees. It briefly rained on us and we had a brief period of small hail. It was a long day for all of us. Jessi did great and Rosati won the meet by 1 point. This is the 3rd week in a row Rosati has won. For those of you keeping track here are her times:

100 Meter dash 12.9, 2nd place (The winers time was 12.5). This is her best time of the year so far. Her personal best is 12.73.

400 Meter dash 1:200, 2nd place (The winners time 1:00.9) This is her best time of the year and since she didn't run it last year it is her personal best.

4X200 Relay 1:53.6, 1st place. The relay team is still being shuffled so it is hard to say what the best for the season is.

4X400 Relay 4:16.8, 1st place. This relay team has been shuffled some also but this is the best time for this group of girls. The last time they ran together their time was 4:19.

We also got new carpeting on Friday. It looks great! Kyle and I are very happy with it. I forgot to take pictures of before but I hope to remember to post an after. We still don't have everything back in place but we are getting there.

I'd love to give an update on Devin's soccer but his games continue to be rained out. Hopefully he'll get a game in this week. His baseball has started up so he'll be busy, provided the weather dries out some.

Hopefully the rain is done for at least a few days. Lately my mood has been matching the weather. I could use some sun shine and warmth.

Jessi -- unfortunately you have a fair weather aunt. I can't wait to see you run, but I have to admit, I am hoping for some warmer weather before I trek out there. Kelsie has had volleyball conflicting, so I really have had a reason, but praying for some warmer weather as her volleyball ends. Keep running!

We sure hope it's warmer and the sun shining when we get down for your track meet, Jessi. Devin, good your games were rained out. Maybe it will warm up before you play.
Jenny glad you told us who was under the wraps. Anything to keep warm, huh?
